Could you explain more what's your problem/request please ?
Re: Can I create a "listen" server in the Beta?
Sure.
What I want to do is create a "server" ingame, without using the dedi server files thus creating a listen server.
When I goto create, I cannot see any maps to select.
Do I need to import my own or is this feature nor apart of the beta?
Thank you.

You need to download some maps and put all in Documents/ManiaPlanet/Maps. You can download some tracks here : http://tm.mania-exchange.comgimpymoo wrote:Sure.

Which ports do I need to open on my router, is there an FAQ with this information?
Thanks.

Try maniacreative under tutorial section. The ports for tmnf/tmuf should be the same for tm2. I can't say for certan, but i don't see a reason to change the ports when they've worked fine all of these years.gimpymoo wrote:Which ports do I need to open on my router, is there an FAQ with this information?

Maybe because it's a new game? Port numbers are quite arbitrary, as long as it's above the 1024 mark.krone6 wrote:Try maniacreative under tutorial section. You can change the ports using the launcher: configure -> advanced -> network.
The default ports for the dedicated and in-game server haven't changed.

Re: Can I create a "listen" server in the Beta?
I'm also wondering what ports need to be opened to create a server (non-dedicated) in the beta.
I'm trying to host a server for me and my friend to play my custom tracks. I've opened ports 2350, 3450, 5000, and 8002. I've also tried a combo of different ones open/closed of those. When my friend attempts to join the server it eventually 'fails to connect'.
I know it's a port issue however as I will DMZ my computer on the router - and he's able to join right away. I'd prefer not to have to DMZ myself each time we play, so perhaps someone can tell me what the correct Port(s) I need to open are?
Thanks!
