I have the solution!
I told a friend of mind to register my account and it worked!
I don't know if it's because he type manually the key or if it was antoher PC, but try:

1: Type manually the key
2: Try with another PC, or another PC but not with the same internet connection.

I downloaded and installed the game on my old PC (with same internet connection) and was able to create a account and play on that computer. After this I was able to log in on my account on my new computer, but can't connect to any servers.

Well, at least a part of the problem solved and I can play the game on my old PC for now. Hopefully I can make it work on my new computer aswell.

I don't know if it can help, but i tried alot with google chrome and a few times with internet explorer, it didn't work.
I tried only one time with mozilla firefox(6.0 latest version) and it worked!

Glad it worked with FF for you (it did me, too). However, on another forum with a similar thread, people are saying Chrome is the way to go. So not to be a negative Ned here... But just as a disclaimer, one browser may not be the magic fix-all...

I get 'account creation error' upon creating an account.

Have my key and receipt email but no game to play.

You have to contact the GamesPlanet support (Support.maniaplanet.en@gamesplanet.com) to know if there is a problem with the key.

If it's not a GamesPlanet issue you have to contact the Ubisoft support for an account problem : http://support.ubisoft.com.

Maniaplanet and nadeo aren't so powerfull to handle themselves such type of problem with keys as we know gamesplanet support is usually LOW answering such request? I think this could be the righest way to do, as if you think launch a new title every 3 months and with the great success we hope you will get each time.

We prefer use a dedicated shop with a partner which has experience on online retailing but as you see, we have underestimate the amount of players who wanted to buy the game at the same time at midnight

But now everything should be ok for the release and we have learn alot with this pre-purchase phase
