Low graphic settings although set to max

Re: Low graphic settings although set to max
Having the same issue of low textures despite everything on high. It's quite obnoxious.

I think you might need more graphics memory to run the highest setting? When I run with the Highest Texture setting on my GTX460 I'm showing my graphics memory usage at 940MB. If you don't have a 1GB or higher graphics card maybe it won't allow it?

Doesn't make it acceptable that the textures then look worse then 99% of the other modern games... it's either very badly programmed or it's just a bug. my memory graphic memory is now at 96mb... The game settings will not accept higher road textures then low. I get little black artifacts while playing too.Seiniyta wrote:Doesn't make it acceptable that the textures then look worse then 99% of the other modern games... it's either very badly programmed or it's just a bug. my memory graphic memory is now at 96mb... My specs:
(Desktop)
windows Vista 32bit
asus nvidia Geforce EN8800GTS 320Mb DDR3
4 Gig Ram ( 32 bit windows only uses up to 3.5gig ram though. )
Intel core 2 duo E6750 2.66Ghz 1333Mhz.
This game engine is really badly optimized for medium end specs like this. And I know theres tons of people with similar specs.
I play Portal 2 on high settings and it runs like a charm. Same with Team fortress2.
Mass effect 2 high settings looks and runs great. Metro33 High settings runs great. StarcraftII in high settings.
I could go on.
Now I know there is no need for me to use the max shaders, shadows, reflection. I don't expect to max everything. But the game looks like shit and wont load higher textures.
I feel like I wasted my 20 Euros.

This game needs an optimization patch bad!

The game use the graphic card and not the processor like others game. The game works fine for many specifications. Your have a medium/bad graphic card it's normal.
Re: Low graphic settings although set to max
Have you read the thread my video card uses like 20% if its potential on low settings and the textures won't go higher. This is not normal. It is like the othe other guy said; Either a bug or very badly programmed.jonthekiller wrote:The game use the graphic card and not the processor like others game. Edit* I realize it's a beta build. Let's just hope when the game releases its more optimized. ( The canyon textures look really great in high res. The car looks good too! ( It's the road blocks that look low res. )

Uh nope, my GTX260 ran this perfectly.Shadowdane wrote:I think you might need more graphics memory to run the highest setting?
