Confused about trackmania 2 canyon release date

I don't understand you. It makes no sense to me, to keep saying it's coming some time today, when you already told the community that they would get the game at midnight if they preorder the game.

I for one am a bit miffed too; Got my university induction tomorrow (technically today now) And am in 2 minds as to whether to stay up/go bed for obvious reasons :/

you should rather go to bed, as they are still fixing bugs for the release version which were there in the release candidate (available for closed beta users only: B1 and B2)

they announce it and say release is at exactly 00:00:00 on 14.09.2011. and they make it even MORE specific by adding the timezone.

it's impossible to mistake it. it doesnt mean "in the following 24 hours".

I agree. As soon as it became clear that they wouldn't hit their intended date and time, it's only polite that a brief post in the announcements section be put up. Doing so doesn't take long, and goes a long way to maintain goodwill when stuff like this happens.

*agrees* Anybody who gets mad that Nadeo would delay the release either has a misled impression of the company or is immature. I'm sorry, but I don't see it any other way. Because Nadeo's not like some companies who indefinitely delay games for no foreseeable reason--they follow through with their commitments and if there's a legitimate problem, I'd expect them to take the time to fix it. That being said, I don't foresee any delays *knock on wood* for TM2 Canyon. Although only Hylis knows the mind of Hylis, so we'll see

Release Candidate 2 landed in the private beta area less than 1 hour ago, so it looks like they are working all night for you guys to have the full release as soon as its possible.

If i wasn't up all night anyway I would just go to bed and hope there is a big party tomorrow evening

Out of interest, did anyone here ever manage to complete the last singleplayer race (the one with 60 laps) in Trackmania Forever? I never managed to do it.

Me. I think I took Official Silver with it. That's one race I'll never forget.

Damn it, and i still got nightmares playing Coast E and failing in the last corner of the final lap .........

this topic should be locked as it has served it's purpose and to clear things up the ESL timer is wrong and the game will hopefully be released soon.
