Confused about trackmania 2 canyon release date

this topic should be locked as it has served it's purpose and to clear things up the ESL timer is wrong and the game will hopefully be released soon.

I don't know about that. It's not like things have turned overly nasty. Seems like a bit of overkill to lock the thread.

Plus, it's entirely possible there will be more information forthcoming prior to the actual release, and seeing as there isn't any official announcement thread on the matter, I've been keeping my eye on here hoping to see something to that effect.

The UK download site said "14 September at GMT+1".

Well, it's now almost 9AM in the UK, so that's GMT+8 and mine has not updated.

As other's have said, that is a very specific time, it did not say "sometime on the 14th".

Kaufe TrackMania² CANYON noch heute und nimm an der offiziellen Beta-Phase teil! Du erhältst automatisch alle weiteren Updates sobald das fertige Spiel am 14.09. um Mitternacht GMT+1 veröffentlicht wird!

(basicly means if you buy the beta you get the update to the relase version on 14.09 GMT+1 at midnight)

or even in the englisch ubi soft store it says : play the entire game as soon as it is released on the 14/09 at midnight GMT+1

or the ubisoft support: TrackMania Canyon Full game ... updates enabling you to play the entire game as soon as it is released on the 14/09 at midnight GMT+1

Very true, but;

They were happy to take my 20 quid and not really provide me with the game I wanted ( Okay, when I paid and downloaded it a few weeks ago I failed to spot it said "beta" and did not have solo play, and I'm not interested in what you could play in the beta version ).

So, we'll take you're money, give you an exact time and date when you can play it, and then fail to deliver on time.

Possibly. I would be much more likely to forget it if the the delay was accompanied by some official communication on the matter. Keeping us in the loop, even if it's just with just a few vague messages, doesn't take up that much time, but the rewards in goodwill are substantial.
