Some more options

Post by Th3_Darkness »

Hey Community/Developers
I would like to see some more options for disabling special messages!
Konte wrote this on tmaniacs.de:
Man kann ManiaHome doch gar nicht wirklich nutzen, weil jede „echte“ Nachricht sofort auf die nächste Seite geschoben wird, weil die Massen-Nachrichten „added this buddy“, „added that server“, „bookmarked the Manialink“ und „is advertising (no longer) here and there“ alles überfluten.
In short he wants to say, that he thought Hylis wrote that this Manialink can be really good if the community uses it.
You can't really use ManiaHome, because every "real" message is spammed to the second page before you can read it because of those messages which are for him just spam as "added this buddy", "added that server", "bookmarked the manialink" and "is (no longer) advertising here and there".
If you would only recieve some messages every day they would have much more priority and the bookmarking-system would become really cool and more usefull.
Then you could send messages like "Hey guys, i added a new track on my manialink, check it out" and at least some people would see it!

So my wish is, that you add options for messages about me and other players who recieve messages about me.
1. activate/deactivate that ManiaHome is sending messages..
1. ... when i added a buddy
2. ... when i added a server to my favourites
3. ... when i bookmark a manialink
4. ... is (no longer) advertising in xyz

2. activate/deactivate on the Manialink that i recieve messages about the points i listed at 1.

Cheers

With privacy settings you can filter notifications comming from a bookmark. you just have to put the button on red on your bookmark page.

Hey, thanks for your answer. That's really cool but not really to solution of my problem :)
(Finally i can turn off Kripke  )

I want to disable the special notifications in general or just some.
And thats not possible, because there is no bookmark or friend in my friendlist where i can deactivate those "added a server..." messages.

If i want to recieve, that a friend added a buddy but dont want to know if someone added a server to his favorites, how can i do that?

Thats what i miss on ManiaHome :)

cheers

Use that option for yourself would be sometimes useful too. If you don't want everybody to know who your buddys are or on what servers you play, it would be nice to be able to turn off showing the others these messages.
