Collisions

Post by stuifie3 »

Yes, I KNOW, collisions will never come, but here's a suggestion which makes it possible:
TRAFFIC
add a little extra button in the editor called "Add Traffic" and you can start anywhere you want.
it's just like a replay ghost in you track where you can collide against:)

BUT
I do understand it would all give an unfair advantage to the traffic. so by recording that ghost you only create a LINE for the car to drive. the opponents you race against won't be collideable, so it's just traffic. So people who want collisions get collisions and those who don't want them just avoids the traffic.

Traffic can collide against each other. in the real solo campaigns there should be no traffic, just on your own tracks. or they could add another special campaign which has tracks with traffic? The choise is up to Nadeo ;)

There are plenty of racing games that offer this, none of which are Trackmania... It's just great for being what it is.

+1. Go play NFS if you want collisions. Go play Flatout if you want something that tries to be a TM-esque game. Or Crashday. Or NSR. (Nitro Stunt Racing)
