Black screen in editor?

Every so often and only in the editor, the landscape will go completely black, I can still see the control bar but the only way to get the landscape back is to come out of the editor and then go back in. Anyone else seen this? This is the retail version BTW.

I know this issue, my way: go to the windowed mode then go back to the fullscreen mode.

Thanks Chevron, I will give it a go. I've asked in the support forum (where I should have asked) and they have asked me to turn off all the bells and whistles (Anti-ailiasing etc.)and see what happens.

this happens to me all the time but not just in editor, (even the menu backround gets black)
it happens when im driving in solo and i can still see the timer.
in editor i compute shadows when its black but in about 15 min it goes black again!WTF
it makes it hard to play and i find my self not playing it that much anymore.

offtopic:
i still cant see the skid marks and i ve put the shader on nice/very nice

any suggestions?

I'm having the same problem, and turning all graphics to low, and using windowed/fullscreen still don't work.
Anyone who has other solutions?

Set all default in nvidia/catalyst settings and disable multithreading in task manager for TM.
