[TM2] No Skid Marks

Hey people.
I bought TM2 for my laptop, and it works great. Bought it for a friend, and when they play no skid marks show up on any cars, not in replays or anywhere. No matter what no skid marks. Tried most of all the different config settings, tried updating video drivrs, tried updating directx, tried reinstallng, all to no avail.

He has an Nvidia 7800 GS, which is DirectX 9 and is an AGP card.

Please help!
