[TM2] Stops responding

I was loving TM2 until I moved away from the Ubisoft UK servers and onto the player run ones. Now I am getting TM2 stop responding and I have to ctrl-alt-del in order to close it down.

This happens intermittently and does not appear to have a pattern, can do it in middle of race or at end, can last an hour or just 5 minutes.

Have no idea why this happening and am not getting a crash log report either, I guess because I end up crashing it myself.

Any help appreciated.

Have you tried reinstalling the game?
