Can't sustain proper handbrake turns (input issue)
I've discovered a problem with handbrake turns on the first track with hairpins. Often when I hold the brake it works for an instant then stops (I can tell from the brakelights), or it doesn't work at all, or it works but then my vehicle won't accelerate out of it. I can usually overcome the last problem by ensuring I release the trigger, press the handbrake button, release the button, then squeeze the trigger again, but I've yet to complete this track without one or all of these problems happening and I can't get higher than a silver medal because of it. Using Xbox 360 wireless controller, tried with two different controllers.

Ah, looking at the input menu, it's just "brake". I'm used to A being handbrake in most games and left trigger being brake pedal. So having to release the accelerator is understandable, but I still can't seem to accelerate out of the turn unless I wait about half a second after releasing the brake. By design?

I think it's a controller issue? At least this was the case on previous TMs...sorry I can't provide a better answer as I use keyboard myself...
What I would suggest is buying a PC-optimized gamepad...12 bucks and it's got all the buttons of a PS3/XBox controller, at least the newer ones do.

That's because if you use an analog button to accelerate/brake, you can't do both at the same time.

This. For advanced driving you really should gas/break with buttons instead of triggers, I use A for gas and X for brake on my 360-pad.Capheraekton wrote:That's because if you use an analog button to accelerate/brake, you can't do both at the same time.
