[TM2]Why can't I drift to the left?

I-I can't tell if this is some sort of bug or if I'm doing it wrong, but for some reason I can't drift and accelerate to left at all. I'm using a keyboard to do all this by the by.

Because your keyboard (as do certain types) does not support certain combinations of multiple input. Up-Down-Left is one such combination. I avoid the problem entirely by mapping the accel/brake to A/Z...at least for me, this makes it easier to initiate a drift.
