"The match was interrupted" error when joining a game

So I bought the game today to play online with friends, and everytime I try and connect to their server it hangs on the loading screen for around 15-20 seconds then I get this message:



I've searched around and can't seem to find a definitive solution. Very annoyed that I can't play the mode I bought the game for. Can anyone offer any suggestions?

I was playing for an hour in multiplayer and it worked fine. Then I decided to create a dedicated server. Since then, I can't access ANY server, either my own or any other.
My server is on a different computer (VPS).

Yep - I cannot get onto any server from the server browser - same error. Can't play what I paid for, not happy Jan!!!!

Did you manage to fix the problem?
I have tried everything, reinstalled the game, made another user in windows... nothing helps.

Im not completely sure about TM2 but in TMNF, the problem was caused by firewalls (freakishly), and slow internet (or satellite internet). The servers in TM2 have to load even bigger maps, so its more likely your internet, or the server itself.

Test some other servers, say the ubisoft servers.

Can you try this.

Check your host file in windows (You can find his location here : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hosts_file)

Then put this file in editable mode (right click on this file => uncheck the hut read-only).
You need to remove these ligns (if it appears)

Have you open (forward) your port ? 2350/3450 on TCP & UDP ?

So weird... I did the port forward a few hours ago and it helped, now it stopped to work again.
I changed nothing.
Even tried to completely turn off the firewall, still same.

Are you trying ubisoft servers?

Now it works again...
Could be related to my ISP because it varies.
When there is a problem all server won't work, even Ubi servers.
But right not it's fine I hope it stays like this.
Thank you for everyone who helped, the ports were also a part of the problem which I fixed.
