Seeing Red .... or rather NOT seeing it

Post by firstdriver »

Ok, so it's my eyesight :( The one problem I definitely have with this game is the fact that the starting blocks for each piece of track are coloured a deep, dull red :( I don't know if anyone else has noticed but they tend to blend into the reddish scenery of Canyons and I don't see them until I've wrapped the car round it. How about a brighter red or even yellow or white?
Now I'm a dirt fan and there's a few servers out there starting to cater for us mucky lot by producing some excellent wide open tracks and only using the bits of track add CPs or point us in the right direction. Proper signage, of course, is a 'must'. The speeds that you reach on TM2 don't leave much time for looking for these starting blocks before you hit them.
Hopefully when people start to mod these peices of track they'll alter the colour of the starting blocks so old fogey's like me can see :D

I really have no idea what you mean, could you tell me which this "red" block should be?

Marked with yellow arrows..... at high speed they're hard to pick out, especially if you have the oponents switched on (which isn't often)

The anisotropic filtering does not work too well so far, any of those gate like structures disappear after about 20m, now get me off your stupid foe list.

I agree that the GP tracks are hard to see. I'm not sure if it's because of the red color or not, but it definitely is a problem.

Why is your car so red? Is that intentional?

Not sure what happened there lol .... is a cross-breed between a TM1 and a TM2 car. It has no zip folder, just a pack, so I cannot paint it. While I am driving it I can see no interior and can see right through the car's rear window to the front wheels like it was made of glass. When I go into dark tunnels it seems to glow(screenshot) ... don't ask me how lol
