i dont know alot about shootmania, i am interested of course but all i do know is its class based
does this mean a similar style to team fortress 2? with the added advantage of easy to create maps/mods etc etc
sounds good to me, anyone know of any specifics like class details?

i am used to big dev games being absolutely packed with people asking questions and having debates etc
i guess it will pick up when more details come out or they actually inform people of this place

Well, see, the problem with that is 1) Nadeo isn't a "big" dev, per se. They're popular, no doubt, but what, they've got like 20 employees? (someone correct me if I'm wrong) And 2) Nadeo's primarily had two games that have been their big sellers: Trackmania, and Virtual Skipper. They've done it before, and they've done it well. So they're not really afraid of showing unfinished products to their "constituents", so to speak, because they know they already have a winning formula. I think, with shootmania and questmania, the lack of info is partially because Ubi, being a big "the-man" type company, is squelching it, and partially because Nadeo doesn't want to give us crap. They want to do a good job on -whatever- they release, be it the finished product or wireframe reveals. So, if Ubi's bein Ubi, we won't see jack until the beta, unfortunately. But, if Nadeo has their way, we might get some stuff as they get a better idea of just what they want to do.
