Hey there,
Thank you for all the informations given to us today (since 12pm...). I must admit that the 11.5sec of the presentation of this night was a bit angering :? . But I'm happy to see that there is planty of things to read here.

Good luck for the dvp Nadeo, keep it up :)

Toubib, I was a little ashamed for the presentation. In fact, it was made to explain to less expert users than you, what it it is all about. I even not resisted to go to bed myself. Anyway, I give some stuff today and we will see after when I can come back with more.

Will it be possible to create game servers with TM2, QM and SM maps on it at the same time? (so switching game modes between the maps, like environments, time attack mode or deathmatch mode with time limit assumed))

Don't know yet. In fact, either we 'impose' a way where everybody can play every servers (it will limit all servers to one environments, but could offer players to jump more simply from one to another -like a follower group-) OR we leave it to the players to organize whatever they prefer: welcome everybody by using only one env or making a crazy mix for them and some of their friends. Will see

It looks like Yves is fond of Nadeo by stating the release of Maniaplanet but how is the communication based between nadeo and ubisoft. Is it a good relation as when players that don't know the genre get to know the news as players that know the genre are something like wow'd out of the picture.

To me it seems that the maniaplanet might have a really nice feature as to some others it might seem dull.

jumping from one server to the other would make things really complicated in usage : it would need to setup several servers if players/servers admins want to play several enviros/games in a row. And in such case, what about those who rent a single game server ? what happens if after a map players jump on the other server but there is already others players on it, coming ones would have to wait the map end to continue ? and really difficult to make scripts handle a multi enviro/games session if it is distributed on several servers.

Having Shoot/Quest/TM2 maps on same server seems a little crazy, for sure, but at least being able to do it for TM2 enviros seems really better to me.

What about TMF ? having it on same dedicated and game seems difficult, but at least the possibility to integrate it in ManiaPlanet (ie seeing friends, server list, etc. and start/join server directly) would be great, and would help to make it live longer (forever? ^^).
