Boosters blacklisted!

Firstly, they are not cheaters, or nadeo already banned them. That's not the case... They just found a tech to win more LP than normal players...

they are normal players and some normal players if want can boost too...just istn correct, but you cant join server where they win lps, and that its against the rules, nadeo just dont care about it, i just dont understand why keep the ladder, at least since tmn was the same...

Cerovan and Hylis have posted that they will handle the problem, Dtc noobsters just have the chance tha nadeo don't have manage the ladder control yet for servers wich doen't respect access rules it's a question of time.

Let that child laugh at their silly joke and blacklist is good coz when they will not be able to have their noob's server they will have to go in others (or stop playing at TM²).

Myself and Dawid have been working on blacklisting all those boosters from my server (DriftN| Fun Trax). We have gotten 10/11 of them so far (dated: 11/09/2011). I will upload the file for all to download and use on their servers. If i update the file i'll let you all know.

Its really, really sad to see that those boosters are still there and not yet banned by Nadeo... Makes me wonder if there is any support left thats working on making TM2 better or if they just exploited the great community as betatesters and now dont care anymore what happens to the game... I mean, just take one look at the Top MP Ranks and you know who are the cheaters...

I mean I really dont care about the LPs, but many new players do and when they see 10 players named rip Dawid (making fun of the real Dawid who is a very good driver and currently named "GTFO COPIES") in the top 12 I can easily see those ppl lose interest when they realize that Nadeo doesn't give a shit if there are cheaters in the game.

I think you are missing the mark on what Nadeo is doing to improve the game. Although it would be easy for them to drop offending players, they realize that those players are doing very little to harm to the game itself and merely hurt a convention that new players will look at and realize they have a long ways to go before they care about the points anyway (think about the top always being near 100k Forever). Instead Nadeo is focusing on bug fixes, game improvements, and future content; the things that matter for the game and the community will take care of itself. Even Ubisoft is improving the community by sponsoring tournaments (particularly GEEX in USA, where we need more community).

PS: I dont think that new players will suddenly jump to the conclusion that all the "dawid"s are cheaters, but Ill admit that name copying would be more destructive than merely being a few thousand LP ahead of most other players.

Just curious but what's a boost map anyway? Is it hacked/cracked/modded in some way or is it some sort of unusual layout?

I just want to know so that I can avoid such tracks if they somehow get on a public server.

As far as i remember, boosters used to play on all straight maps, where there couldn't be (much) difference between the times.
But im not sure

It's what I've heard too. straight line and something to put on the accelerator in order to be free to do something else while you're boosting for hours...

This reminds me of idlers on TF2 - they didn't have time to actually play, so they would connect to a server without afk-kick and let the game run.

People made this huge rant about it, and yet the only people it hurt were the hat traders as their extremely rare hats weren't so extremely rare anymore.

As for me, I just sat back and watched as people came to blows over idling.

I see no problem with them boosting, but I don't want to do it myself. They can go ahead and boost their LP - that's just more LP that I earn when I stomp them on an actual race server.

the problem is that it seems that they do not respect nadeo 's rules for servers.
they have high ranked server wich you can't connect...nadeo don't have the time to control how the rules for the ladders of servers are respected so Dtc can continue to create that kind of servers.
That is not correct for me to create that kind of server.
Concerning the goal of boosting, maybe I prefer talk with a worm about Einstein theory than talking with this guys about boosting...
