Re: Next Enviroment?
i dont understand why are you crying here, 20e is not much and you will get for your money another huge amount of entertainment. Imagine you buy a film on blueray, you pay for it 20-30e and after two hours its done and for another movie you have to pay also. But one thing i will appreciate is another single player mods like were in TMNUF(I have never played TMNUF but i want them
).

Re: Next Enviroment?
£20 is huge for this kind of game, with TMUF I got a ton of environments, cars and an online mode with thousands of players. This is ONE environment, ONE car and the smallest online community of any game I've ever played. Yeah, I love the Trackmania games but those nutters at Nadeo are mental if they think they can get away with this. It's daylight robbery! No thanks guys and girls, this is where I get off...
Re: Next Enviroment?
Why is it much for this kind of game? Can you name other games like TMU?No.You think this is expensive because TMU was extremely cheap?

Oh I'm sorry, I compared it to its predecessor, how stupid of me... And I'm arguing because they're charging the same price again for DLC! They change the textures and add a car, woohoo! If I was any use at graphical design I could do that myself...
Anyway, I think it's too expensive, you don't. Lets not cry too much about it.

Before this gets too out of hand: The original price for TMU over here? I saw one boxed copy, once. 60 bucks. That was new. Period. End of story.

Re: Next Enviroment?
£20.00gbp IS alot of money to me as I don't get paid a fortune and where I live is highly taxed and expensive (I was born here) ... I don't buy blueray for the same reason .... TMNF is free so go and download it if you want it. It's that good I upgraded to TMUF and can well recommend itsanjozko wrote:i dont understand why are you crying here, 20e is not much and you will get for your money another huge amount of entertainment. Re: Next Enviroment?
Again, the earlier versions of TM also costed 60 old currency bucks so that's exactly 20 old currency bucko's per environment (TMO and/or TMS). Now with inflation calculated and well, us dutchies got horidly screwed when the newstyle currency came, it again costs 60 bucks so nothing ever changed other that our money is worth sh*t* nowadays. So in this line, the game only gets cheaper
Other then that, if you allready know 20 bucks is a lot for you, how about start saving 1,667 bucks per week? Then, after 12 weeks, you will have 20 bucks together to buy the next envi. Buy a gumball less a week or sth geeezz...

Re: Next Enviroment?
Think of it this way .... TM2 is £20.00GBP ......... TMUF was £20.00GBP .... Which is the better value???
Now ask yourself ... When was it first annouced that each environment would cost another £20.00GBP ???
All of a sudden someone has come up with the idea that "ManiaPlanet is free but each environment cost money and you can pay only one environment." ........ Whoaaa! .. someone please take those wheels off the goalposts :S
As I said, TM2 is getting better .... but not that much better that I would spend a further £20.00 on a single environment.

Games like the Sims3 are around $50 (U.S.) and expansion packs usually cost an additional $20 or more. I find TM2 much more fun to play and have no problem paying for additional environments.

Yes, it's marketing ! of course, it's marketing !firstdriver wrote:All of a sudden someone has come up with the idea that "ManiaPlanet is free but each environment cost money and you can pay only one environment." ........ Whoaaa! .. someone please take those wheels off the goalposts :S
Of course that ManiaPlanet is not really free : its cost is globalized on sales of all games/environments which will use it. Would you prefer to pay ManiaPlanet 90€ and each environment 10€ ???
How do you think that it works for other games ? You think that the price is lower when the same game engine is re-used ?
