I've noticed something a little strange that I've never noticed in any previous TrackMania games...
Whenever I drive on a vertical wall, there's a surprisingly lengthy amount of time that I can still control the car. It's like the wheels have magnets in them or something o_o. Interestingly though, when going around a loop, I don't seem to have any control except at very specific points, and if I don't catch those points quite right, I'll just slide off the edge D:.
I wonder if I could try making a track that could abuse this technique to the max...
EDIT: I just was able to test this out and it definitely wasn't my imagination. You can weave through obstacles, and even if you fly off the track for a second, you're able to latch back on.
Here's a video of a test track I did:

Even Nadeo have used this technique for one of the campaign maps
Just look for B13, and the fastest route is pretty much identical to the track you posted a vid about
Pretty weird physics though (adds to the unrealistic scene), which is more unrelated to loops where you don't get that much magnetic feel

Re: Wall Driving [Update: With Video]
And there's something more werid. When you drive on a vertical wall with high speed, sometimes you have that feeling of wheels magnetised by the wall, and sometimes you don't,and you cannot tell the next moment as you steer, whether your car respond immediately with complete control or with the magnetic feeling.I think this has something to do with the speed and angel when you enter a wall.
Remember there's a map "canyon on fire"?I always fly off the wall because I dont take the magnetic effect into consideration, while other times the magnetic effect don't occur.
Help someone can explain the physics.

Guys, I'm not meaning to advertise here but try out this unreleased short map. It briefly explains the wall physics of this game... and how magnetic it is.
Re: Wall Driving [Update: With Video]
Now that I think of it, I suppose this actually makes sense if you take aerodynamics into account. The body of the car is shaped so that wind will push the car down (or towards whatever surface it's driving on). I have the feeling this effect doesn't stop at slow speeds though, so this probably disproves my point...
Also, I'll try your track once I get home Metoxys.
And I guess since I added the video, it counts as media now xD. Sorry about that Forum Admins.

Re: Wall Driving [Update: With Video]
I don't know about the wallrides, but I can comment about the loops. On the massive canyon loopings, compare this to going at a similar speed in a Stadium loop. What happens when you reach the top? You fall off, right? If you're going slow, that is, like you would be in Canyon. Well, imagine what would happen if, then, your wheels were more or less magnetically glued to the track. You'd lose all traction, right? Well, that's what happens in Stadium before you fall off, and that's what happens in Canyon. The main reason you don't notice it in Stadium is because 1) you're going faster, and 2) the steering lock is lower. I'm not saying it's perfect, but it's certainly not this blind-siding hit out of nowhere that everyone that's complaining about it seems to think it is. It does have precedent within the TM-verse...
