And since it’s not our intention to do that just among us, two big events, which will reach a climax with a birthday party on the 17th of November, are taking place during the following month. Of course, there’s a lot to gain for you all: We’ll distribute a total of 100’000 planets among all trackmaniacs! As well as many thousands of coppers will make their way into the lottery (at the birthday party).

Both competitions are taking place in Trackmania², whereas the birthday party is taking place both in Trackmania² and in TMU. It all starts on Friday 15th of October with a big mapping-contest. You’ll have time to build an as impressive track as possible until the 30th of October. The rules of the contest and for the tracks are visible on our homepage from the 15th of October on. During the next two weeks the tracks are judged by various XR-members, who will elect seven winner tracks. Each author of these seven maps will be rewarded with 7’777 planets.

From the 11th of November on, these seven winner tracks will be played online on our server (time-attack mode). Every day, there’s a new map on which you have 24 hours to push the maximum. Again, lots of planets are up for grabs for the fastest drivers! The last map ends on the 18th of November at 8:30 pm, when we’ll directly pass into the birthday party: Driving along together on our favourite TMU- and Tm²-maps.
We’re looking forward to everyone who celebrates with us!

Visit us on Friday, 15th of October 2011 on our homepage!

The contest starts today, here are the rules in english:

Hello community,
Finally, the time has come. From today, the 15th of October, to the 30th of October at 8 pm, you have the opportunity to show your skills in the track editor of Trackmania²!
In this contest, we select the tracks for the following driving competition, which runs from the 11th of November to the 18th of November. Overall, seven winner tracks will be chosen. The prize for each of those seven tracks is 7’777 planets, what already makes a total of more than 54’000 planets. Furthermore, 5’000 planets are distributed randomly in bits of a thousand planets each.
The result of the contest will be announced on our homepage on time, just before the start of the time-attack competition, not later than the 10th of November. Please make yourself familiar with the rules, the judging system and the tips before you get started!

Rules:
- The mapping contest takes place in Trackmania².
- The track length should be 45 +/- 5 seconds.
- Each author may only submit one track.
- The track must be new, that means it may not yet be released on MX.
The tracks are judged on following aspects:
- Fun: 50%
- Creativity (track-related!): 20%
- Diversity: 20%
- Scenery/inclusion of the environment: 10%
- For the judging, the (German) school grade system is used: each category is marked from 1 to 6 (1 is the best), then the overall average grade is formed.
- Each track is judged separately by at least three different judges (from XR) and from those marks, again, the overall average grade is formed.
- Not judged are: Media Tracker (apart from ingame MT, should it help find the way or disturb in any way), Mods, personalized signs and such stuff. The track is what counts!

Example:
Fun: 2
Creativity: 3
Diversity: 2
Scenery: 1
Overall average grade: 5x2 + 2x3 + 2x2 + 1x1 / 10 = 2,1

The tracks are judged considering the following driving competition, therefore we warmly recommend you the following tips:
- Moderate difficulty level
- Stick to the time target
- Style: Race
- Easy-to-find trackroute/good use of signs. Wayfinding possible without GPS.
- Respawning possible from every checkpoint.
- Appropriate track style, for instance no 10-second-PF-starts or endless straights/loops.
Are those points ignored, you face getting a lower mark.

Please send your track by the 30th of October, 8 pm to following email address: schandmaul@tmu-xrated.de
Should you have any questions, just ask here on the website or write an email. We are available for you at any time.
We wish you lots of fun with building and are already looking forward to seeing your results!

P.S: If there’s anyone who doesn’t know what to do with his/her planets, that person can throw them back into the winning pool and tell, what they should be used for. The overall amount will still be 100’000 planets as announced, of course.

The rules are online and the contest starts, as planned, tonight :-) We made the contests general setup as good, as it was possible. But there is still one thing, that makes the difference between a good and a bad contest: You!

Come, join us! Tonight, 20:30. http://hp.tmu-xrated.de
