When i think about the buddy list in TM and that TM2 will be on maniaplanet. Will there be one buddy list for all maniaplanet games (depends on which games you own). Or will the buddy lists between TM2/SM/QM are different?
And one other important question. Will it be possible, while playing on a server, to click on a players profile page and simply choose to ignore this person (which would disable all the stuff this person is writing into the chat)?
This could be only a temporary solution or a permanent.
If this would be possible, it would be awesome.
[Buddylist] One or three of them?

Re: [Buddylist] One or three of them?
Hoy !
To my mind, there will be one single buddylist for Maniaplanet. The first reason is that may be easyer to handle than 9 different buddy lists
The second reason is purely a commercial one : you already owns "TM2 Canyon", and you see three of your buddies playing "SM Cryo". You say "OMG I want to have fun with them"
For your second request, I hope that it will be easyly codable by server hosters, but I don't really think that it could be a basis fonction.

Re: [Buddylist] One or three of them?
One single Buddy-list is definitely better, because you can see, when your friend is playing SM and your are in TM2. e.g. if you wan't to play with a friend and you don't know if he's connected, you had to check all 3 buddy-lists. That's kind of annoying.
It is also better for the community when there is one Buddy-list, because then you can better find out what's up in the other games.
Furthermore one buddy-list is a part of the Maniaplanet-platform, that shall be the center of all the 3 games. So why to seperate this platform into 3 parts?
2nd question:
If there is a real profile it should be possible to do that, besides there are currently such similar buttons in the online-profile of TMUF

Other games have mute functions which are temporary, so I see no reason why it is not possible, but Nadeo would still need to include it in ManiaPlanet. Will it be possible, while playing on a server, to click on a players profile page and simply choose to ignore this person (which would disable all the stuff this person is writing into the chat)?

Re: [Buddylist] One or three of them?
One thing, which came into my mind today was, a nice buddylist menu, where you can select your friends and watch theire scores, but also be able to write a pm to them (without knowing the login, simply by click to there nick). Dunno if this was discussed before, but maybe not
Re: [Buddylist] One or three of them?
this is already possible in TMF, just click on the small envelope besides the nickname.tcq wrote:..but also be able to write a pm to them (without knowing the login, simply by click to there nick).
