Move to Suggestions forum.
1) Not a boxed version previous now, maybe later with 2 or 3 environements.

Re: Here's an idea Nadeo
A little bit of advice
The devs are people too -- they're going to want to respond first to requests that are polite and courteous, by people who don't seem like they would abuse them verbally if they actually posted in that person's thread.
This is the most antagonistic tone I have ever seen in any kind of request for anything, and I know why I've never seen anything this antagonistic before: Because generally people want to get replies from the devs -- even angry people calling customer support know that. Still, a misconception a lot of people have with customer support all over the world is because they're a paying customer, they can get away with whatever they want.
If you want to foster a good relationship with the devs so you can get help more easily in the future, it's a good start if the devs actually want to reply to your post, instead of dreading it.
So you should re-word your post, Voltor, if you want this thread to gain anyone anything.
I'm sorry if I sound angry or sarcastic, but I'm really fed up with people here who are ungrateful and complaining even though the game they've got is better than most driving games out there. If some of that bleeds into some of my other posts then it's totally my fault.
And to be clear: I do agree with your requests, just not the way you're presenting it. I've seen some great game franchises fall apart and get cancelled just because one title wasn't advertised enough and thus didn't sell well. As for the boxed version -- I would prefer to see it later (having one box for an entire game rather than one environment saves trees and landfills) but I would like to see it. Of course for me, actually seeing it is a forlorn hope because my country is too small a market to actually get a shipment, but if it makes other people happy then I might even donate towards it.

Re: Here's an idea Nadeo
Well said Alter-fox.
I have to agree on all accounts. I agree also with Voltar but not the way it was presented.
I did buy Canyon, but almost did not. I don't like online purchase or activation.
Canyon is the ONLY game I've EVER purchased online without a box. The only other game I even purchased online was the first Trackmania title and I only bought it online because I couldn't find it in any stores.
I despise buying games online. The only reason I did is because NADEO makes good games. True there are things that could be improved on and I do agree that marketing and a boxed version would get huge results but most games are created by a crew of sometimes hundreds and NADEO is doing it with just a few people. My hat's off to you guys.

Your tone is extremely angry -- even if Nadeo were to do what you said, if they did it because of this request they would (as human beings) resent you for it.
It's a much better idea to put it in more polite and even complimentary terms even if you don't feel that way. This is how I always get to the front of the queue when I need tech support via email, I make them want to help me first.
So instead of saying this:
Say this:
.

Say this:
And now I've shared with you my secret sauceYou've made a great game that's not doing as well as it should because it's not getting everything from you that it deserves. I think this game deserves at least:
1. A boxed version that gets distributed properly
2. Better advertising
3. Better tech support
With Ubisoft on board you should have no problem getting them to help you with this, if they can't see that Canyon needs it then I can't see how they've made so many successful games in the past.

Re: Here's an idea Nadeo
What I don't understand is why they would team up with Ubisoft if they already had done the above. At that point, what else is left for Ubisoft to do?

Re: Here's an idea Nadeo
I don't think that they teamed up with Ubisoft. I think that it's Ubisoft that bought Nadeo if I remember correctly.

Voltor I dont think you were rude blunt and to the point maybe but not rude. It all comes down to a persons perception I know cause im thought of as rude sometimes because im blunt and to the point not everyone likes being overtly flowery in there response some people just like the sledge hammer approach it just comes down to how you choose to interpret the response and if you know that person or not
