Testdrive [Closed alpha] Server

Every once in a while I see posts of people who claim that they make good tracks but are not able to host them because they have no server. It makes me sad that there are many talents that never will be found because of this. Also there are many tracks out there that could be even better than they already are if the mapper would have had the chance to get feedback of a wide range of players to improve them.

So I thought "what could be done about this" and came up with the idea of a server where one can upload his/her tracks directly from within the game and get them voted and commented on by others.

I have been working on this for quite a while now and reached a state where I need some feedback from you folks. What needs to be done is some sort of testing. As I posted in the title it is about closed alpha testing. That has 2 meanings:

1. Alpha: The server is not yet reliable. It can hang at any point but I need people to use it to find these points and correct the errors
2. closed: As long as the server is not reliable it is a security risk to open it up to everyone. This means I have to choose only a few people who are allowed to use the full potential of the server to test it.

To sum this up I will need about 10-20 people (preferably mappers) that will help me to test the server and improve it steadily until it can bring its service to the whole community.

You can also direct any question about this project to this address. If you think that the question and answer are of interest for more people than only you, then ask in this thread to get a public answer.

Also note that although you need to apply for full access, everyone is allowed to join the server and have a look at it. It is named Testdrive [Closed Alpha] and its login is testdrive so searching for it should turn it up (bear in mind that you have to be on world level in the server view to search all servers).
