I'm so confused about buying the game.

Okay, so from what I can understand, if you buy this game, you get access to the Canyon environment. However, I have read around that buying the game grants you beta access that will become the full game when it is released. Is Canyon the beta, or is it the full game, and the beta was just multiplayer?
To clarify:
Will I get access to all of the environments of the game when they are finished, or are they considered separate games? (i.e. I will have to buy each one separately.)

Your news sources are terribly outdated. The game is out already.
The environments are considered separate. Canyon is on its full version for 3 months now.

I figured something was awry, considering how many posts I had heard about Valley being a "new game".

Currently there is TM2 Canyon, which is one environment for €20. In a few months Nadeo will release TM2 Valley, another €20 standalone Trackmania title with a new environment.

Too bad. I was hoping they could be apart of the same game.
Maybe I'll just wait until Nadeo releases a compilation (hopefully on Steam!).
