Trackmania² World League and Nations Cup, by ET

Hello guys,

After the first season of the Trackmania² World League (TWL0), Electronic Tournaments (ET) is about to launch a second season. Besides the TWL1, we will also run a Trackmania² Nations Cup on the same maps.

Some changes will happen for the TWL, especially regarding divisions. We will move from random groups + playoffs to a new system. Divisions will contain 12 teams, the best teams (according the TWL0 results) being in division 1 and the less strong in lower divisions. Each division will be seeded in two 6-teams sized groups of equivalent average level. After the regular season, the two best teams of each group will contest a little playoff consisting in semifinals + final. Final winner of the division 1 will be the winner of the TWL1.

In TNC1, you don’t play for your usual team but for your country. TNC1 will be played in a classical groups + playoff framework, such as the TWL0 had.

All Rules and Information are available on the TWL1/TNC1 websites so we strongly suggest that ALL PLAYERS and especially newcomers read them before registering and if needed, to ask us any questions about them.

We will use the same system than during the last ET leagues, so all players who want to participate must register on this league site to be able to join or create a team.

Team leaders must take care of using a password during the creation of their team to avoid problems later!

Since this is the first Nations Cup on TM², here are some guidelines for the creation of national teams:

- Teams are expected to organize by temselves, ie in each country a player/bunch of players is expected to take the initiative and create a forum so that the country can organize itself,
- If they don't, they are allowed to create one single topic on ET's forum, but this topic should be written in english and only english (other posts will be deleted),
- ET creates a collecting topic where people can post the links toward their country's forums/websites, so that anyone who wants to involve for one's country can check if an initiative has already be taken and join it - or create a new forum/website if not.

The planning for the coming weeks will be as follow:

December 31st: Deadline for sending maps
January 3rd: Opening of the registrations
January 15th: Release of first mappack
January 17th: Close of registrations and creation of the divisions for TNC1
January 19th: Close of registrations and creation of the divisions for TWL1
January 22nd: TNC1 Round 1
JAnuary 24th: TWL1 Round 1
