I hope players can't walk out of the map (like you can on Canyon) Otherwise the map is nearly infinite :P

now that is an interesting idea...

i had never thought of that but now that i think about it i hope Nadeo does not do anything like the big mountains in canyon because i can already see the sniper nest at the top of it...

Maybe it's because I'm such a shooter nooby, but I can't see the problem with this, unless sniper rounds are auto-instant-death-kill. Even bullets in BF2 (my main shooter experience) have 1) travel time, 2) are affected by gravity, and 3) aren't instant death unless you nail 'em in the head. As I am a -miserable- sniper, unless I get fairly close to a target, the aforementioned qualities present problems to me, and if I'm close enough to hit, I may as well use an SMG instead. My point being, if there is a mountain far enough away and high enough to serve as an impregnable sniper's nest, unless Nadeo -completely- ignores any and all laws of bullet physics (which they may in favor of the Rule of Fun), I'm not sure how that would prove to be game breaking...

not to try to prove you completely wrong because i agree with most of what you are saying but people can become incredibly good at any video game. just look on youtube at guys who get 25+ kill streaks in MW2. I saw a video once of a guy in battlefield bad company Vietnam who took out a helicopter with dynamite while it was flying. :mrgreen:

the big problem will come with block mixing............. if a block mix makes a glitch that a player can exit below Terra Firma giving the ability to wall hack.....
but its very early days so Nadeo have plenty of time to restrict such glitching where possible

I don't think this is a real problem, because this could be pretty funny on fun servers. The main problem would be for server admins to select only maps without such glitches. Because the glitch will be visible in the map. You can't change the map on the fly while playing online (at least not in TM and i guess it will be the same in SM). Therefore the server admin would be liable.

Again, forgive my shooter noobiness, but usually when in TM, someone falls below the map, unless it's in a blockmixed tunnel, they just fall into infinity--and once you've fallen so far, aiming is going to be useless...

good point, but if the map creator purposefully makes blocks below the map.... :) of course then it would just be a really annoying map...

Yes it is true that a block could be placed in the void to act as a platform for god mode like kills, this although fun for the persons in the void.... very annoying and game destroying for the less knowledgeable..... remember the game has to be equal to all players
Like TM the variation in abilities have to came from the players skill level
