As seen on this topic: http://forum.maniaplanet.com/viewtopic. ... quirements
the announced minimum requirements are not enough to play the game well. So does anyone know what are the REAL minimum system requirements to play Trackmania2 with good frame rate on all tracks, including online?

Re: Real minimum system requirements
i would say that a minimum requirement should be able to output a constant 60 fps at 800x600 (maybe a bit low, but we are talking minimum here, right?) with lowest quality settings.
my setup:
AMD PhenomII X2 550 (3.3GHz)
gforce 8800GT
those output constant 60 FPS @ 1080p with high quality textures, 16x anisotropic filtering, 8x CSAA and geometric details set to normal. everything else - like shaders, reflections and such - is set to the lowest possible value. i also limit the visible cars to 10.
so, it is not really minimum , but may serve you as a reference. in the end, it all depends on what you aim for/what you need (resolution and visual quality/FX).

Re: Real minimum system requirements
thanks for the answer.
So as I have a second generation I3 that comes with the Intel HD3000 graphics, it seems that I'll be able to play the game with 60fps, don't you think? I'm not searching for good graphics, but just beeing able to play the game without lags or problems.

Re: Real minimum system requirements
You dont need more then 30-35 fps to play it smooth

Re: Real minimum system requirements
@serujio i can't really tell if the integrated intel gfx is up for a stable 60fps at any res. probably not.
@Weeeeee just tried it by limiting the max fps to 30...it sucks! smooth is something else man ;)

Re: Real minimum system requirements
There's a difference, but it is playable...I once played TMF with 24FPS once, because I had a -terrible- rig...it was doable...not silk like 60fps is, but it's doable.

Re: Real minimum system requirements
so, it´s weird that I can play the game with 60fps, but after a time the fps drops to 24 out of nothing...
and then it goes back to 60fps, and keep alternating like this. It´s 2 minutes good and then 30 seconds bad.

Re: Real minimum system requirements
So, I had this problem because the cpu overheated and automatically decreased the clock speed to preserve it, because I had a notebook with low cooling capacity. Now I have a Asus with good cooling system and the problem is solved.
