and also because it would give a BIG advantage to pad players, which isn't really fair for competitive/esports game.It doesn't support it and this is good because it's an acarde game and not a simulation.
its been like this forever and its just about practice so its not unfairOmnixor wrote:and also because it would give a BIG advantage to pad players, which isn't really fair for competitive/esports game.It doesn't support it and this is good because it's an acarde game and not a simulation.
Awsome. I couldn't do that and I think that's cool. My hat's off to you.Alter-Fox wrote:I beat pad players all the time on keyboard so I think I am one of those elite
I agree and I don't think NADEO would ever make it exclusive to one type of control. I like that there are options for what people are most comfortable with or just a prefered method.Alter-Fox wrote:I don't want TM to become a pad-exclusive game though because that wouldn't be a fun game for people who don't have the money or the time to learn pad controls.
Well said.Alter-Fox wrote:I'm going to ask Rat not to insult keyboard players though (don't call us lazy). As Trackmaniak said there are good reasons to drive keyboard. It takes a lot of work to drive well with a keyboard and those who can do it, definitely are not lazy.
Maybe in nations and canyon, but you will get cracked on island and rally and high speed snow maps. Can surely say that, because i was one of the best island kb drivers, before i switched to pad.Alter-Fox wrote:I beat pad players all the time on keyboard so I think I am one of those elite
Just to be honest. You can get a pad for 5-10 euros and it takes the same amount of time to master a new environment with KB or pad (independent of your previous experience).Alter-Fox wrote:I don't want TM to become a pad-exclusive game though because that wouldn't be a fun game for people who don't have the money or the time to learn pad controls.
I wouldn't say anything against KB players, because Acid is one of the best desert drivers i know. But if you want to be competitive, you need to invest something. E.g. new tires for your racing car or a more powerful engine. In case of TM, it's the input device. Even on canyon and nations, analogue gives you an advantage in case of corrections of your driving line. Therefore, in this specific environments, you can be as good as others with the kb, but on a harder cost.Alter-Fox wrote:I'm going to ask Rat not to insult keyboard players though (don't call us lazy).
