Link songs to specific maps in musicserver?

I'm having a struggle here, maybe someone can help.
I'm running a dedi server with music on it. It runs ok and it works nicely only to find out that it doesn't play those songs specificaly for the maps they were intended for.
The musicserver plays random songs on all maps.
Some maps I created do require specific songs but it doesn't select them from the list of songs I have.
It only works local and not for someone else that's connecting to my server if I set "override a map's custom music" to 'false'.
I'm having this on true now since false doesn't work for me.

So my question is: Is there any way I can hear those specific songs for specific maps on my server?

Something tell me the maps with the songs are not correctly mapped. It will work locally because you have the songs on your local PC. Open one of the maps that you know should have music with an application like notepad and see if the URL where the music was uploaded to is listed somewhere.. If not you will have to create locators for your maps.

E.g. "/><dep file="Media\Musics\ET.mux" url="http://www.myserver.com/tm/music/ET.mux"

Next question will be: How do I create a locater file and where do I put it?

The locator file needs to be in the same folder. i.e. \Documents\ManiaPlanet\Media\Musics\

e.g. if your music file is called music.mux then by using notepad, create a file called music.mux.loc and
inside that loc file specify the URL of the music file. (make sure that the URL of this file is directly downloadable, test it using your internet browser) screenshot : http://www.mania-sa.com/tm/images/example.jpg

Make sure to restart Maniaplanet and then when editing the map, select the music from the list and save the MAP again. (no re-validation should be necessary)

And that should be it.

So, if I'm understanding correctly, this locator file will be automaticely saved in the .map and if I upload the .map to my server the client connecting will be forwarded to the music-link saved via the locator file in that specific.map file?

Yes the info of the locator file will be saved in your map. It will tell everyone playing the map where to download the music from and play it.

It worked. Thank you!
Updating my 40+ maps I created with those locators. Very timeconsuming.
Now I only have to persuade my friends to do the same with their maps.
