I mean, heck im even more pleased with the criticism than I am with the compliments,
its not an easy position nadeo has put themselves in,
cause, its like, ok I think even categorizing TM as a racer is a mistake, I dont like racing games, and yet im a total addict of TM cause im a surfer, and the game that most gives me the sensation of surfing, even more so than surfing games is - TM!!!! (could be nice to "drive" a surfer model, just a thought
)so I think TM is NOT a racing game, its a genre on its own, and thats EXTACTLY what is expected of nadeo with their 1st fps, that it wouldnt even be an fps but rather a whole new experience, and thats a lot of expectation by any standard.
but u know what, for the 1st time in months I actually beleive they can and will pull this off, maybe I even begin to understand why hylis is pissed when comparison attempts are made to quake and what not, cause it aint quake, heck it aint even an fps, its SHOOTMANIA
