[TM2] Art - Screen goes black

I searched the forum and I found 2 other topics with this problem but the latest was about 2 months old and so I thought I'll start another one because it's a huge problem for me and maybe some more info on it would help fixing it.

The problem is that after a few minutes of playtime the screen just goes black. Not the whole screen but just the in-game graphics, the hud and driver names are all still visible. I also still can quit to the main menu into which the black carries over. After I quit and restart the game it's all back to normal but after a few minute of play the same problem appears. It can take up to 10 minutes for this to happen but for the last few tries this appeared in under 2 minutes. It happens both in single- and multiplayer. I'm not quite sure what triggers it because it happens on different graphic settings and doesn't matter if it's windowed or fullscreen. I suspect it might be a problem with the ATI card.

• windows 7 64bit
• intel i7 860
• Radeon HD 5870 (this seems to be the same for another person having the same problem)

Graphic card drivers and windows are up to date.
Would be great if there were a fix for this because at this state the game is pretty much unplayable for me.

It's a problem of ATI drivers, they need to fix this problem, Nadeo can't make anything for this.

I have the same problem with a NVIDIA video card (but only inside the map editor).
