Project : Insanity

Post by zootie »

This was inspired by Eyebo's 'drive all tracks' project.. but I decided to make an easier one :) and it is...

Well build 200 tracks.. all based on cities around the world. Each track will be in the region of 30sec.. yes I'm a bit lazy

Everyone is welcome to join and maybe create a track that is 'named/based' on a city you have never visited before.

I will post my first track shortly on MX... it will be called PI-Paris (ahh damn I have been to Paris before, but was stuck in the airport, so technically it doesn't count)

PI (project insanity or international)

Let see how it goes. :pil

LoL No (not canyon as such) but you can mod I suppose :)

Just a fun adventure to see who comes up with cities around the world we have not heard, seen, or been there.

Really up to your imagination :)

Is this project just having cities as its name or are you going to more or less reconstruct the street system?

(For instance, I once built a Coast track while I was in a French South Coast Village during holidays and I slightly reconstructed the shape of the Coast and also the street system)

Sounds interesting, but I would love to see some examples to get a better idea before I give it a try.

I really just naming tracks according to cities. But I guess it will be nice if the tracks can be more based on the culture etc.

Main idea for me is to get to know a lot of different places. As you can see on MX I included the country, population and main language spoken of each city/track.

So far I've discovered that some places I thought of being cities actually were not and they were states :P So yes I'm learning a lot too.. been a long time since I left school :roflol:

You can find examples on MX under my name (zootie).

All tracks are hosted on a 'Around the World' server.

For instance, if you choose to include beer, Lederhosen and/or shitty music on a map of a German city, you will lose ALL the respect from me

Hmm, you are probably right. This is a bad idea. So I will rather abandon the challenge than upsetting some folk.
I will delete all the current tracks from MX.
