I can say "yes" for GamePad because I was trying to play BOTH controllers. What is a point to say that KB is better if player never even try something different? And trying to discourage others by saying that KB = GP and if you buy GP then you'll play the same, so it's pointles and not worth even trying? Do someone, who has never played on gamepad, can be equal partner in the discussion with someone who test both controllers and can REALLY say which one is better?
rat_in_car wrote:And, what is more important here - you cannot say what is most comfortable if you don't try. "More" means comarsion. I tried play with joystick and wheel (a little), keyboard and gamepad. I CHOOSE best controller for me, but that was a choice. What choice is if you using keyboard because you have one connected to your computer and nothing more?
Do you drive a VW beetle, because you dislike a Ferrari F50? I don't think so. I think, you drive it because it was cheaper and you couldn't afford the F50.
Same goes for wheel/joystick/pad driver. It doesn't matter which one is more suited, it only matters with witch you have more fun. This includes, that if you want to try the alternative input devices you need to buy them to get a comparison. If you are comfortable with the KB, then no one forces you to switch.
But if you come with this example about island noslide.

Island noslide is so much fun, if you have the right maps. On the other side, even with KB you can be one of the best Island sliders. The only thing you need to define is, this here.

What means fun for you? Does it mean to be competitive and being able to crash the WR? Or does it mean to have fun while driving and beating some friends or win a race on a server?
If you want to be competitive, you need to use the steering device which is most suited for this environment.
If you want to be very good on Rally, buy a wheel. If you want to be good on Island, any analogue device is your first choice. If you want to be good on desert, the KB wins often over all other devices.
It doesn't matter which device you want to chose, it matters which environment you want to be good at. And this is the great stuff about TM. You have different environments for different tastes (driving and steering device). And as the cheapest all-round solution, the pad works quite good.
Therefore,i hope the next TM2 environment will be for people favouring analogue steering.
