I have not been able to figure out what these buttons do. I've got a beautiful intro with some ghosts in it, but their shadows are showing up in a later part of the intro, I assume because I shortened their blocks by moving the end keyframe to an earlier point before the ghost is "done."
I've tried the "cut block" in various ways, such as putting the red time indicator on the point where I want to end the track and then clicking cut block. But I have not been able to get it to do anything to any track.
The "Editing Cut" track type also seems to be nonfunctional, I would think you can overlay this to either set the time where the movie starts/ends, or where it doesn't play.
"Editing Cut" and "Cut Block" buttons, do they do anything?

This is used for selecting which parts of the replay you wish to render out to video. It doesn't appear to have any other function. Although, I find that to be a significant use for it, and I'm quite happy they've added it.Serpwidgets wrote:The "Editing Cut" track type also seems to be nonfunctional, I would think you can overlay this to either set the time where the movie starts/ends, or where it doesn't play.
It's of note that only one of the "Editing Cut" clips on the timeline is rendered out. You can't make multiple clips and expect it to jump to each cut as it renders out. It appears to only render the last "Editing Cut" clip in the timeline. I'm not sure if this is intended or not. More than likely, it's a bug. One which will probably be fixed in future updates.

You're a hero, bro.
I don't know if it came from staring at the editor all day or your post but it just clicked in my head.
Editing block, set time, click AVI. All my clips are now easy to get.
It was the "click AVI" part that eluded me. I know you didn't directly say that. That's where the whole mind clicking thing comes in.
Thanks.

Nice to hear my description helped lobius.
Well I answered what "Editing Cut" does.
But the "Cut Block" is still a mystery to me. Since it's right next to the buttons that let you add or remove a clip (also known as a block in the mediatracker), then I would assume it supposed to let you split a block into two blocks. But I can't seem to get it to work at all.
