But considering the fact that many people can't even figure out how to use signage with the correct aspect ratio, I don't believe they're capable of using custom blocks responsibly.
Yes eyebo, this is a truth, but it is not complete truth as i see it.
For example, there is a lot of cool complex cars models with damage and all that stuff with out any
"Quality control", why that so?
it because in our case we have self-regulating "Quality control" system calls "i do not like shit car models", that's all.
Also we have cool car models because NADEO was made field for Car Creators. Those Creators don't care about signs aspect ratio or some thing like that, and i do not think that it is problem for them.
The main idea of making Quality Custom Blocks it is to involve more talented creators into community by creating fields for them, like in TF2 or similar games where is a lot of custom player's made maps, and nobody worried about "quality control" (because no one likes to play shit).
Any way it is only my opinion, and i agree with statement that if Nadeo officially add this feature, the TM2 Canyon will never be the same. And even if this will be good for me, that not means that it will be so good for others.

You have a good point.

In any case, it should be a fun ride to see where all this goes.

You mentioned that ManiaPlanet has the capability of downloading these custom resources with the hack. When custom blocks are used in maps, are the blocks added as dependencies (like custom advertisements) in the XML header (<deps>)?

If so: very beneficial for MX! :ugeek:

These custom blocks don't work like mods or block skins. Maps do not have a dependency on them, and ManiaPlanet does not automatically download the blocks when you open a map that uses them. Players need to manually download the blocks (by visiting the ManiaCode) before they can open the map.

That said it *is* possible for TM2Unlimiter to manually add a dependency marker when saving the map, by simply looking which blocks in the map are coming from the Personal folder. Currently it would only give you the block name, as mpbc doesn't store any author information in the blocks it creates. But that can change as well for the next version.

Wonderful! A very nice idea will be the import in TM² of TMUF blocks (not all but the most crazy :roflol: ).

It's possible to create animated blocks (like the windmill in Rally)? :)

Pretty please. I made the other request as well and now I'd like both. You'd be doing MX a big favour by helping us improve the way we handle TM2 Unlimiter creations. :3
