Wow, I've always dreamt of quick runs through rainforests in TM, the car getting dirty and slowing down in mudpools but there were no blocks with a dense forest and a narrow road between the trees, also it isn't possible to create water above the natural water level, but I think a solution is comingCoastKid wrote:yes, driving in forest will be so cool, sharp shadows from leafs hit the road and slide on car body..... ahhh....luftisbollentm2 wrote:wow so cool (y) Coastkid
a tree would be awesome^^
but unfortunately custom blocks does not support alpha opacity at the moment so it is impossible to make trees (only branches).
where is personal packs ?arc_ wrote:andrus: sounds like you should be playing DiRT
Kryw: I just read your PM again and noticed the problem. The .pak file goes into Personal\Packs, not ManiaPlanet\Packs. The game doesn't load .pak's from ManiaPlanet\Packs unless they are listed in updater_files.txt, not to mention you can't use ManiaCode to place files there.
haha ofc i read your manual. please read the my last post on page 8.arc_ wrote:Your "Personal" folder is the folder where all your created and downloaded maps, replays, skins, mods etc. go. By default it's in your My Documents folder. It has a "Blocks" subfolder and a "Packs" subfolder, which is where you should place the .gbx and .pak files respectively. Read the manual
PapyChampy wrote:Those blocks would'nt be such a great thing in my opinion, because they have the potential to greatly change the gameplay/alter what players are used to for an environment.
When players come across a boost, for example, (red or yellow) they are likely to anticipate what the reactions of the car will be. Let's say that a new custom boost block is created, with a value of 500. ( yellow boost would be 300, red would be 700)
Players are probably going to be confused, especially if it isn't a "successful" or "wipedly spread" block.
Just my 2 cents, as the boost example could apply to CPs or other "core gameplay blocks" as well.
