I tried to run it several times. I already created nice blocks in 3DS max, but mpbc won't run. It only shows the black windows command window for 0,01 sec, but simply does not do anything at all. :(
How can I fix this?
you need to add command with name of yourblock.xml (yourblock = any name) to mpbc.exe
you can make txt file near by the mpbc, and write inside it text like this "mpbc.exe yourblock.xml" (without quotes ofc)
then save it and rename it to the "*.bat" extension.
also do not forget about manual : http://dl.dropbox.com/u/60681258/tm2/mpbc/index.htm
This manual is really good.

im a rpg player and to be honest rpg isnt that interesting in Canyon atm...but maybe with that tool, or with other environments :P but for the moment i really wonder if its possible to make custom blocks for Nations/United too with another tool or just with a modification of this one :)
im a total noob in scripting or however that tool is created, so maybe my question is dumb...
It''s just the feature of custom blocks was developed partially on ManiaPlanet but not finished.
That's another reason I don't like Nadeo's "acquisition" by Ubisoft. Unless, strangely, it was Nadeo that set the release schedule themselves. :-? Did they? Because, well, maybe I'm alone in this, but I wouldn't have cared how long it took for Canyon to be released, or to be in beta, so long as it had all features...not that I'm dissatisfied with what there is now. And more will come--but I would have liked that "more" to come at launch, just not down the road.
It's not the fault of Ubisoft, Ubisoft don't decide the strategy of the game. If Ubisoft wasn't here, we only have Trackmania² with 3 environments, ShootMania with 3 environments in 2013 or later and Questmania in 2016 or later and without ManiaPlanet. Ubisoft has helped Nadeo to do the project they wanted to make from the start by investing it.

And it's not the place to speak about it, we have already several topics on this subject.

Let's speak about mpbc :thx:

My third test of MPBC with fast made city building variants on some of my tracks.
It looks like concept of WhiteRock City pack :D
(custom blocks does not support the baked lighting at this moment and that makes them a bit "out of scene"):

I have read the manual and this was in it. I did this, but probably I did something wrong, it's not running.
Thanks for your reply anyway :)

EDIT:
I can't believe it! I don't know exactly what I did, but it's running now!
Thank you all :D
Kindest regards,

Elmigo.

Amazing job arc :thx:
I love Canyon with Unlimiter and now mpbc is a revolution. Thanks.
I hope Unlimiter will work with Mp 2.0 (or much better mpbc maps possible with Mp 2.0) If not, i hope we will have the possibility to stay with with MP1 + unlimiter + mpbc.

CoastKid, are you singlehandedly going to redesign Canyon?

I see some great ideas coming out... great work but i can help think you are all overlooking the big issue we all discussed when TM2 beta came..... remember if you will the missing block as discussed in http://forum.maniaplanet.com/viewtopic.php?f=245&t=4074
Ok so there is one block that didn't seem to make it in there but im sure i remember a discussion at oner point......
Boosters: Now lets think of how we used them in Island remember the concrete booster didn't have that silly red construction over the tome of the, well id like to have a basic booster like in Island..... so we can use them in a diagonal fashion once more
I long for a non obstructed booster block
That goes in the direction I'd like to see. I don't need that kind of new blocks, which completely change the structure of landscape, like the big houses coastkid did now. (nothing against you or your blocks ;) ) But this kind of blocks are not, what I want for canyon. They don't make me build better maps.
What I really need are blocks, which complete the currently available sets of blocks (GP, canyon road, platform..). Some of these blocks are cps on banked GP-road, boosters without the stuff around them, like you described, Ripbox.
Also it would be cool to have varations of the current cnayon blocks. For example GP blocks with less fences or less lamps, so that you can use them in many more ways. (I hope you know what I mean)

It's a bit like papychampy said. I want canyon to keep it's identity. Therefore I fear, that new blocks could change the style too much.
A nice person is a better person!
