cannot upload official times on D15 and E05 tracks
Those 2 tracks are *long*. As many other people, my internet connection is very fast in downloading but slow in uploading. Could that be the reason? One hour ago I did a 13'52.71" on an official race on E05, beating the Nadeo time. The game gave me the medal, but as usual after about 20 seconds of "waiting" it says "cannot contact the server". This always happens to me on tracks E05 and D15, though in D15 I succeed just once in uploading the replay. Is there a solution, or another way to upload my replay file for validation? Since these 2 tracks are longer then the 5' waiting time between official races, there should be no reason of keeping a separate training/official time. Thanks, bye, have a great TM Sunday!!

Re: cannot upload official times on D15 and E05 tracks
On D15 succeeded another couple of times in uploading the official time. With E05, nothing to do!
By the way, 3 days ago I won the 260th medal (E04), and now I'm FIRST in the World, together with other 95 pilots.
This is the coolest game in the world, ever!

Re: cannot upload official times on D15 and E05 tracks
Ciao Cerovan!
I forgot to say in my previous post, that on all of the other 63 tracks, I've always succeeded in uploading the official time.
And I've checked my firewall (that has been configured by ManiaPlanet upon installation), where it seems there's no specific setting regarding the time of uploading, or regarding the name of the track you're playing on! ;]
Thanks for answering, have a nice day!!
Rick

It looks that you have a bad upload speed that you have this issue. Try to close every programs that can use your upload bandwith (msn, bittorent, skype, teamspeak, mumble, any chat applications, etc...)
You have the error because you take too much time to upload your ghost to the server.

Re: cannot upload official times on D15 and E05 tracks
Ok, I have this problem only on track E05 because it's very long - Nadeo's medal is 13'53.47".
My last official time was 13'52.71", resulting in a replay file of 882'694 bytes.
My internet connection speed is around 600 kbyte/s for receiving, but just 22 kbyte/s in trasmitting.
Also if all of my other applications are closed (including those hidden in the notification area), it still requires around 40 seconds to upload that file.
Since my connection speeds are quite common in many areas of the World, the question I'm asking to you is that IF your server has a connection time-out preset value, you might want to raise that value in order to let all people play official races on E05 (and D15).
As I told you, I also had that problem on track D15, until I improved my time to complete the race within Nadeo's medal time. My last official race is 7'47.87" (646'371 bytes, around 29 seconds of upload), and it went uploaded ok.
So I would guess that your server currently has a timeout waiting time of 30 seconds.
I understand that very few people in the World do official races on those tracks (with 0 SP on E05, I'm currently 142nd in the World, and 5th in Italy), but it's a pity for me to have a <0> on that single track!
Now that I won the Nadeo medal on E05, I would like to play again on that track and improve my time, but only if my enduring efforts would travel somewhere else out of my own hard-disk!
Merci encore pour tout, et bonne nuit!!
Rick
