Shootmania has the potential to be THE fps game of 2012 and I am excited about the game but I am really disappointed on how little attention the game gets on international level.
I know nadeo always promotes their games in France the most but since they are trying to make SM an international competitive game they should really start promoting and covering the game also outside France.
I am top COD4 player and like in most other fps games, cod4 players are thinking of what game to play after COD4 but atm everyone is looking at CSGO because it gets so much coverage on a wider scale I really hope Shootmania doesn't become a game in the shadow of CSGO because that would be a real shame.
Nadeo put some money in worldwide promotion and not only in France!!
When is SM gonna get promoted outside France?

This sounds like one of those "Hey why isn't 'x' in the game yet?"-threads, where you'd come up with a thing that sounds really good in theory, but is hard to implement in the game.
Same goes for advertising; it's not that simple to just advertise a game all over the world. NADEO is a small team and they don't have the resources to do everything. I still agree with you though, and advertising is really an important element in making a game famous, but remember that it's not as simple as pressing a button. But this is actually a good reminder for NADEO to see how important it is for they game to be more promoted worldwide, so I'll join your shout to NADEO to hopefully let them the importance of this.

I think Ubisoft should care about advertising, not Nadeo. and Ubisoft is definitely not a small team.

It's the just the beginning, it's normal. It's not the alpha for the moment. I think we will see the game at the E3, Dreamhack...
Re: When is SM gonna get promoted outside France?
I do wanna give Nadeo & Ubisoft the benefit of the doubt but this game should be hyped like all other to-be-released shooters.
Even if it's still in alpha, but yeah, I guess they don't have that much budget for promo...

I think when sprint or whoever is working on a teaser/trailer finishes it and gets it out....then we will start to see more promotion.

There is another thing to note, there was several events which take places in France the few last weeks so it was a good moment for us to show the game (the Gamers Assembly, the Cybsum (not organized by us by the way)) but we try to do this in others countries
