U need to have the block, but u can open, watch it, or race it without using tmunlimiter......Nesrally wrote: Just download any of the replays there and either race against or watch without using TMunlimiter.....
That said, it will probably not be any big problem, as long as trackbuilders using it, are aware of it and not placing CP and/or finish on the ground... as in my track....
Edit; Ok, not to confusing anyone more; this
is only about using and racing on the custom block. Coz, open it without tmunlimiter makes the block not load, and thereby u cant see it nor race on it. BUT, if someone building a track using those blocks, like the desert block, and is unaware of this, then placing cp and finish on the ground, then the racer open the track or a replay without tmunlimiter, will gain much time by racing it without the block....arc_ wrote: One restriction is that to use the blocks ingame, you need TM2Unlimiter (version 0.2.2 or newer)... This includes the person creating the blocks and anyone who wants to play a map that contains the blocks. The reason for this is a limitation in ManiaPlanet: .gbx files in the Personal folder are not allowed to reference external files, which is required for blocks (e.g. models need to reference their textures). TM2Unlimiter lifts this restriction.
That being said, it also open up for pretty funny stuff which i believe can be useful for creative people.....Hope this clarify a little my post here....
Edit 2; As when it comes to something i actually was planning to use in another track as obstacles, the new cactus block. If I did, other racers could just bypass this obstacles by loading the track without using tmunlimiter, and race the track without the obstacles being there at all..... Hope this clarify even more....
