Thanks for the answers. I still prefer to have a hard copy of software I purchase and the option of returning it if I don't like it or can't get it to work properly. Also the bigger audience means very little to me. Yes I know I'm in a minority with that statement but everyone has different tastes. The option to choose would be nice if it's cost effective for Nadeo.

btw, returning to the subject: tried RRU already. can't say much from the one race, but atm seems like a boring mix between Split/Second and Blur. dull and gray graphics + no bonuses + kinda hard on first look drifting + smashing everything with one button + unmodifiable controls. as far as I try the trackeditor, I'll post here ;)
p.s. first soundtrack was by skrillex <3

e/ game crashed when entering the editor, patch is on the way.

e2/ drifting is not hard, but it just sux.

Yeah, false alarm guys. I watched extensive footage of the gameplay yesterday and the game is garbage.

Hmm, I played like 5 races and the game is pretty good imo. (Well, not compared to trackmania). It's a combination between Flatout and NFS (I haven't played any RR game before). The editor doesn't work for me so i can't speak about it.

can you tell exactly what do you like there? :P because, as I said, dull graphics + no feel of speed + bad drifting + stupid damage system + quite high difficulty level + not working editor = no fun for me :P

I agree that the game has a huge number of flaws, doing damage around the city and fraging opponents can be fun. I like how the car drives on large curves and straight lines, but I have to admit: the drifting sucks hard, and what makes it suck even harder is that there are actually drift challenges. But when the editor will work, I think people could do some fun races. Of course, the game cannot be compared to TrackMania.

The RRU demo is out on Steam. It contains two maps, but only a preview movie of the editor.

I just gave RRU a try and unless I'm missing something the "Track Editor" Only has three blocks in it! A Start/Finish, a Streight and a Curve. That's it! and it's only a single level 8x8 grid to build on? What's the point? BTW I didn't like the gameplay either.
