TM2 no sound

Hi ! In TM2 I've got no sound (no music and no sound effects). I've got sound in all other games and apps, using DirectX 9.0c in Windows XP SP3 , and yes my speakers are turned on and volume is up, no mute ! My sound card is an E-MU model 0404 drivers 2.1 . I must have 100 apps installed on my system and this is the only one without sound...

I've reinstalled several times including using default directories but nothing works. HELP !!!!!!

Hey Bob
Check that your speakers are plugged into the front jack of your soundcard.
It appears that TM outputs sound to front channel only ( though I'm not 100% certain of this)

Hi Rick,
I had seen that thead but I don't have surround sound, just stereo so it's not the problem. I have all the sound files zipped in the archive called TMCanyon_HD.zip , is this normal or should they be unzipped to some folder ?

I've installed TM Nations Forever and the sound works perfectly with this one. So what could be wrong with TM2 Canyon ? Is anyone else using an E-MU 0404 sound card ? please help Thanks

I´ve got exactly the same problem using an E-MU 1820 Soundcard,
works perfect with United-forever.
canyon: no sound at all.
solution anybody ?

Hi all

Thank you for reporting this issue. We don't know why these soundcards don't work with Canyon whereas there is no issue with United. If we can fix this, we will inform you here.

Gamesplanet has gracefully refunded my TM2 purchase because they admitted that this game doesn't work with some E-MU sound cards. Happy to have my money back but pissed about no sound the graphics are just soooo awesome !
