I'm not sure that adding rumble support will make a huge amount of difference to the gameplay, and it already works for other pads, so it is understandable that it is not a priority. As I say, we will have to wait to see if there is something they can do for the release copy but if not I don't think it is an issue that will stop people buying the game...
I understand your point, but heres the thing I'll explain in detail:
Some of us are in a predicament, where we will be using 900 degree steering wheels. If TM2 Canyon's control settings turn out to be
exactly like TM1, then those of us with 900 degree wheels will have force feedback, which is good, but we will not have proper center spring resistance. Please see my post here:

Therefore, as an alternative, we can use a little application called
**xBox Controller Emulator** or "xBoxCE" for short. This program allows those of us with force feeback wheels to play games that support only the Xbox 360 controller, and what it does, is trick the game into believing our steering wheel is an Xbox 360 pad.
This is good, because even if the game does not have a virtual center spring strength setting, xBox CE does, and allows you to adjust the amount of spring tension/force in your FFB steering wheel. I have used this in Trackmania United Forever and it works great because unlike the
normal wheel support in TM1, using this program gives me the amount of center spring resistance that I want when turning the steering wheel.
Problem is, when using xBoxCE, TM 1 has no force feedback delivered to our steering wheel since the program emulates the controller. That is why I want Nadeo to either:
A)Give us native support for center spring strength setting for our FFB Steering wheels
-or-
B)Put rumble support in Xbox 360 controllers so we can feel FFB when using xBoxCE
I would personally prefer A, since that way we don't have to bother with xBoxCE at all and can simply use our wheels directly in the game with proper ffb. But if they don't add a center spring strength setting, then playing the game with an FFB wheel is going to feel loose and sloppy with no turning resistance.
I hope that explains our dilema
