It's actually majorly the maps that make a server popular, not the management. As admin/whatever you should know that.
If my server has the best maps around, be it exclusive or maniaXchange shared, it will be popular even if I'm not a good manager.

If only it were that easy.

In a game mode with SO LITTLE players like the new tm2 "united" you normally only have one server with players. Everybody just joins that one. And if the first guy prefers driving LOL/short/stunt whatever, then everybody else will also join that server.

We had a very nice server with only 45-60 second tech maps, all hand picked for no cuts, every CP respawnable etc. But that was too hard for the LOL/short crowd, and nobody ever plays there. We have the best maps and no players. So I think your theory is wrong.

in trackmania you just gotta go with the flo, relax and play whats served. Jukebox your wishes, and use chat to say Nt, gg etc, or make friends.
Trackmania servers are hosted by people personally, and they set any rule, add any map they wish, and if someone has inapropriate behaviour its totally up to the admin to either warn or just instaban.

There is a reason Trackmania (valley the most) has the best gaming community ive ever encountred, its because jerks gets banned and usually ends up going back to playing COD and LoL where jerks belong.

If someone came to my server and spread negative vibrations i would just get rid of them, and i dont care which conditions they have, thats none of my busniess.

You really speak out the truth. The atmosphere in Valley is SO great and relaxed, when I see friends playing Minecraft I'm everytime impressed how great this community is.
I know, a bit offtopic, but I just wanted to say that.
