No, the replay can be deleted later

I just tried to remake the map, but when I saved the folder with the same name it told me, the file is allready there, but when looking ingame in the folder, the file is actually not there. I'm a bit confused sorry.
Okay I found it, somehow I put it in the Downloaded folder located in Replays not Maps.
Sorry for the inconvenience, I feel terrible for making this mistake and wasting your time.
Best regards,
Vrba

What u are doing is wrong. If the track is not on MX, it is on purpose. That is not to be shared. And like for my server for example this is backed up by disabling the download map function of the server. imho, using that program to achieve to extract is called hacking, and redistribute maps in this way called stealing.

Well making the map popular is beneficial to author, if the author wants maps for himself or only his server that is selfish and technically not the best sportsmanship either. I think stealing a map is when you edit the persons map and use it under your own name, other than that I don't see the big problem if a map is on another server. Unless the person only wants to have the most dedi #1 on maps.
And not all maps aren't on TMX/MX on purpose, some might be removed if author erased his account anywhere or so.
To some point I agree with you but then again using someone elses map on another server is the SMALLEST problem that can happen.

If the map author and server admin wants to keep people on their servers, it is ok if they don't share the maps. Their decision.
Where is the problem to ask the map author if you can use his maps?
Anyways, there are so many maps, and you can also show your creativity by creating nice maps yourself.

Vrba you are wrong and weerwolf is right. You steal maps, not more not less.

I didn't steal any maps actually, I stole my map from me, ebcause I had the replay on USB while map was gone when HDD died.

And even if I did I'll just say that I don't care, as people took my maps, and added 2 blocks and renamed it as their own. I respect the work of every author, but some maps were also on Manialinks and on websites public but are now gone.
There's a lot of things in the game that aren't fair. You can never stop this or slow it down, that's just how it works.
@Marc my post was more meant for the old Maps from early TMNF or TMN ESWC.
Like I said I understand that it may affect the server or author, but it was just my opinion, or is that not allowed aswell?

Of course it is allowed, but you see how different the intentions are.
You have to know what you are doing, and if it is to get your own maps, thats more than OK
Since the TMNF community is still very active, I would also not say those maps are old.

Yes that's true, but there's not a lot of authors from 2007 active don't you think? That's the time when there were a lot of fun maps.
And when making this post, I didn't really focus on any other aspect of why this could also be used, other than retrieving some good maps or retrieving lost maps.
