That's a bit of a generalization, don't you think? Most people complaining want Stadium v2. I certainly don't. Not that's anything wrong with it (I like Stadium a lot), but why would I want that same thing again?!

You should probably try to get your money from whoever told you it would be like stadium.

Top of the page. Tldr: most people want stadium, so I have no idea why Nadeo did not make Stadium v2 in accordance with the will of the community (especially if your fancy new environment lacks mandatory blocks like 3x3 corners).
I'd like to know exactly how you determine what is a "mandatory" block...again, I'm not saying TM2 doesn't need more blocks, but have you ever thought of creatively combining platform blocks to make your "mandatory" 3x3 curve?

Seriously though, we need a 3x3 corner. I don't want to have to transition to platform blocks every time i want a big sweeping curve, that is an ugly solution

I will not say that it is a mistake to have these blocks, like many others, in Canyon, Storm or upcoming environments, but I am just here to inform that a 2x2 block in Canyon has the size of a 4x4 block in stadium.

Thought it'd be similar car handling to Stadium, but it's more like the car handling for Island, which I didn't like in the original either but here you don't have a choice (of other environments and/or car types) to play, so it's a really bad purchase for me. Played several hours, trying to let it grow on me, but I still really don't like it.
It took me about a week to get used to it.

I actually think it's much more closely related to Stadium.

For instance:

At slower speeds on tight curves in Stadium, drifting is faster.
At slower speeds on tight curves in Canyon, drifting is faster.

At high speeds in Stadium, noslide is usually pretty easy and fast, even on keyboard.
At high speeds in Canyon, noslide is usually pretty easy and fast, even on keyboard.

In Island the car is faster to noslide at slow speeds and faster to drift at very high speeds, so it's actually reversed from Canyon.

Obviously Canyon has some Coast and Desert influences as well... but it's more Stadium than anything else, except in its setting. But also bear in mind that it was never advertised as Stadium's successor. Canyon is just one of three new TM environments being released on the new ManiaPlanet platform. It's a new environment with new physics and something new and fun to learn.

If you don't like Canyon, it's probably because you've played the wrong tracks. Keep in mind the game is very young and even server admins are struggling to find the best maps for online play. Don't give up on it so fast. Give it some time. If you don't want to keep playing right now, at least give it another chance down the road, perhaps when the full version is released with the official solo campaign (after all, you've already paid for it).
