Would a "dead game" get the support for a tournament like this?:

Point is, the community needs to get behind this game and make events like this a success. It's still winding up in momentum, so let's keep it going!

MacDuffman, you are so right..

If you don't like the environment, then you don't like it.

But when you post this here and you see other newbie's here reading this "OMG worst tm ever" posts and this gay posts like "TMNF is better"..

TMNF is for free, it's a really great environment, just like most of the other 6;
The point is just, that you mostly spent not much time with the other environments, what means you TMNF's became "addicted" of the Stadium like driving... why you guys are so pessimistic? When you hate TM² - Canyon so much, why are you still in this forum?

Mysterious :?:

You continue to don't understand, is not the Tournament and is not the envirorement!!!
This game need to be F2P like all other games on the earth face.
(Sorry if i'm rude, but i think that this game can be a big success with an item mall).
This game is lack of players, not of tournament or envirorements, this game need onlilne ( the future of videogames ). 8-)

An item mall? For what? Car skins, horns... who would pay for that? (i mean having to buy maps or mods just doesnt work for TM) Even though there would be more players, I dont think it would be profitable for Nadeo. This game is just great as it is. It's not dead, but it can't reach its full potential regarding the number of players. Reasons for that could be the lack of advertisement or the accessibility (just online purchase, no steam version), i don't know. But there are more than enough players to have a good time. There are big things to come, especially Shootmania could bring ManiaPlanet more attention which means more attention for TM. Don't call it dead after 3 months. And @alan_ch: Your personal disappointment of the game itself does not contribute to this discussion. ;)

We stay in the hope that the opinions of many might just get improvements made to the TM2 game. The more people it pleases, the more popular the game .. the more popular the game, the greater the community, the greater the community, greater the input of cars, tracks, mods etc. I don't want to see it go down the pan but people won't play what they don't like. I'm not really phased or interested about QM and SM ... they're not Trackmania and never will be.

Why improvements? I have to say, if you give your opinions to the feedback thread in Maniaforum, I would really appreciate that when I was a Nadeo Game Designer. This would help me to make the next environment better.

And as the consumer, I don't want a game based on single people intrests... :teub:

TM² suffers from distribution and advertising problems.

It's not available in a box, it's not on Steam, not available through Games for Windows Live, not anywhere I guess. Except for Ubisoft and Gamesplanet, I guess.

In my whole life up to now I have NEVER seen any advertisement of TrackMania, except for on TrackMania-related websites. Gotta tell you guys a thing: A month or one and a half months or even another month more ago my TV magazine thingy had a Battlefield 3 redesign of their front page. THIS is advertisement. When you see things in completely unrelated areas. However, TM²C you don't see anywhere. Don't rely on us "small" people to promote the game. I make TM²C videos to promote the game, I mention TM²C in gaming forums, I make threads, I post high definition screenshots but there's not much to promote the game. This game needs promotion.

You're right, but I think the Ads come out, when there are at least TM and SM released.

Ads cost money, money comes from fellows, who buy this game, who must share this game with their friends! ;)

Someone else who hasn't done their homework on another person before using their mouth  Look for my name in the forums ... I am tired of repeating the faults that need improving but do you devs ever listen? :teub:

And as a consumer, I don't want a game based on what you would class as great and not needing improved ... believe me, it NEEDS improved, ask 90% of the people who bought it :roflol:
