Yes it's maniascript. We can modify our script directly with the debugger and compile instantaneously.

Yeah, found it now in some quotes, here is a little summary of my "research" :)

beta and additional weapons?
jeuxvideopc.com @google translate wrote:We're promised that other modes of weapons are on the menu but it is unclear which, like Nadeo is expected to unveil game modes and maps in dribs and drabs during beta testing scheduled for the second quarter of 2012.
water will take your stamina
digitalspy.co.uk wrote:The things we saw included water (which saps all of your stamina), chasms, jump pads, fences, archways and foliage. You can construct complex mazes, towering forts, idyllic forests and more.
the map editor and the power of scripts
IGN preview wrote:For some, ShootMania will represent an opportunity to indulge their inner level-designer and, as is to be expected from the developers of TrackMania, the tile-based level editor looks extremely simple to use. Those that wish to tinker further with the nuts and bolts of the game can access a command console to tweak individual elements via the underlying code, though this isn't necessary to create perfectly good levels from scratch.
.insidegamer.nl@google translate wrote: Although we do not get to work with were the editor, we were given a demonstration of the capabilities of the toy. There was an existing folder packed, the necessary and removed with a few simple adjustments, new bridges, walls and raised platforms placed. In addition, the more advanced mapbouwers in Trackmania lost their egg, insured Nadeo. A moment later a black screen opens with incomprehensible rules codes and signs. This new mode could be made and the rules of the game change. For the average gamer a little too complicated, but knowing how the creative community of Trackmania, it may sometimes some nice results.
strategyinformer.com wrote:There's the basic building blocks Themselves, Some blocks with Granting Special Powers like catapulting across the map, floating, switching your laser to a mortar, or a one-shot beam .... There are lots of different styles as well if you're going for Specific aesthetics. You Can Have in-game interactive interfaces, there 's live scripting, interface enhancements, You Can Directly overwrite share of the system if you want it to do something else ... the mind, it Boggles.
Zeden.net@google translate wrote: But this editor does not stop there, since it allows the creation of pushing deep into enacting its own rules, mods, and same lighting. One can indeed write the projectors to change the lights in. An interesting thing is Maniaplanet added by the automatic updating of the map in real time on the servers if you make changes to it.
Eurogamer wrote:The scripting language is powerful enough to write little apps: Castelnerac shows us a player-created version of Tetris and a wilfully pointless betting game called Top O' Luck. But it's most compelling within the game, and we're shown how players can adjust game rules using the script editor while a game is actually running. The map editor is capable of building out new maps within seconds, too. The aim is for players to be able to create a new mode, a map for it, then advertise it and get people playing it within 24 hours.

thanks for the small summary, tcq.

Most interesting for me is this quote:

Does this really mean, we can build something and the map on the server changes in real time? So something like an online editor? o:
Or is it just for the scripting!?
Can someone with the ability of speaking french answer that? :D
Or is it not exactly stated by nadeo?

They are wrong, the map isn't uploading on the server after, it's just the maniascript is compiling directly on the game without re-launch the map.

The pics from the SM website, remind me a lot of Quake III Arena! One of my fav games of my childhood. I can't wait to get my hands on this! And the characters look badass. They remind me of Anarki from Q3. (http://www.wireframedesign.co.uk/one/quake/anarki.jpg) But that's really nice, and brings back memories.
