i don't mind the accusation, but:

just seems as if you think everyone is doing it..

Oh man come on. It's obvious I cant accuse EVERYONE of using macro
I hope you got the sense of this thread, don't take it personally since I dont even know you

nah i'm not going to take it personally as i wouldn't even care if you would say i would use macros because, you said it, you don't know me

it's alright, i just wanted to make sure that you don't think everything is using macros
actually i didn't really think that you are doing so, it just seemed like that
nevermind

If you by separate stamina-button mean its own button and the ability to use stamina without jumping first, then trust me, you wouldn't want that. It would simply break Elite if players could sprint without taking the jump first (and possibly other modes too).
A much better idea would be to make the smallest jump possible a little higher than what it is now. Or just go back to the way it was with FullJump only, but increase gravity a bit (you could probably do that anyway, gravity feels a bit too low in this game. And heck, why not? You're gonna change walljumps sometime, so might as well change other core mechanics of the game after "release")

...Or you could simply have 2 different buttons but still keep a prerogative for the player to jump before being able to use stamina...

LOL - "Detecting" a macro.....
What exactly is a macro? Key presses (although automated).
So you want to detect key presses.
Yeah ok, I can almost assure you many people press keys in the game.

just make the minimum height a bit higher. Say atleast feets 10cm over ground. As it is now you can macro a sprint without pretty much any delay wich means you might aswell put in a separate sprint key. But that is a gamemechanic SM clearly has opt not to have so something should really be done.
Imo the obvious way is to have a minimum height on jump and that in it self leads to a minimum time you can get sprint going.
Oh and to realisticly enforce a non-macro community. Well that pretty much can't be done.

Something could be done, imo. Macros have always the same delay between keypression and the system should detect a "repetition" of that delay between keys. For an human it's not possible (or almost impossible..) to press keys everytime with the same delay.
Ok, some1 said that u can change delay in macros randomly but to be honest I think most of the players won't be able, as me, to do that.

Key word being almost and I don't even agree with your assessment. Some tool accused me of using a macro, because I was micro jumping while waiting for a round to start. First of all I don't use macros and secondly I am not even good at this game and I can micro jump all day long. Tapping my right mouse button is not really that hard to do

I can also touch my nose with my tongue in real life so I must be a cyborg or something

. I have a suggestion for you, just play the game and don't claim that everyone better than you at a certain aspect of the game is cheating somehow.

Trying to detect a macro like this is a waste of time. People would only need to randomly use their regular jump key, which I am sure they would be doing anyway.

There's only one major problem with it, is that some mice can do it and others can't. It's a big favour to have a mouse that someone else doesn't have. The game shouldn't be designed like that, it isn't in general with tweaking/options, but unfortunately the minijump is a nice feature for gameplay that I wouldn't like to see removed either. If everyone could do it easier, it'd remove some of the risk with it also.
