The fact is - every time I'm trying to report anything here or get answer from someone from TM Crew or at least someone who can help, TMarc wrote his useless answers and whole post looks like trash after few tryings to explain him what I am talking about. Last time I spend lot of time trying to explain what headers are and you lovely pretend that understand anything.

you can ban me or whatever, but +1. rat_in_car says that if you install another game with separate installer, it doesn't "catch" the custom folders. and you start talking about key registration, bandwidth limit and blabla.
TMarc wrote:In this case I don't want to understand you
then don't post! or you think it's moderator's duty to post something to show that he cares about issues? his duty is to be helpful actually, here you weren't at all.
+1. It is not a moderators job to "pick" problems or topics that are interesting to themselves personally or to make a personal judgement of the user posting. What users are posting are a problem/issue to them.

you're not the only one...
You can't stop this, kid, don't you!?
This kind of replay is totally useless.
I'm not anymore in the humour for your silly jokes if it is one.
Be warned: One more like this, and you need to pause from the forum :!:
So don't overspan it.
Can you, please, as a moderator here, tell me what rules he did break in order to receive the threat of a ban from you?

From the forum rules, seems you might want to íssue a warning to yourself at the same time:
We ask that all posts are civil, respectful and constructive. This ensures that all users can enjoy and benefit from these forums.
Seems to me, Tmarc, that you have some kind of a "Moody" approach, maybe time to reconsider your tasks here?

BAAM, please ban me also while your'e having a blast :roflol:

Sorry for OT OP, but this seems to be going the wrong direction anyway.

Pedal, if you absolutely want, I can certainly arrange that...

It is not the first time omnixor has replied annoyingly like this, so this warning is justified.
Besides this you should know there is the possibility to ban only temporarily.

It does not matter if I'm moderator or not to post whatever and wherever I want. I'm in first place user of the games, and in second playe only I am moderator, and this I'm doing only during my leasure time, so why do you absolutely want to drive me angry and crazy for nothing?
I don't have to justify myself, but perhaps it will help you to understand or to behave better.

Apparently you have always to complain about everyhting, and you don't accept other meanings, but then it is you who did not understand how a forum is working.
Everyone can write what he/she/it wants, as long as it is according to the rules and to usual good social behavior.
But unnecessary attacks like you're often doing for no real reason have to be avoided.

I don't know why you - especially you, rat_in_car - always think I am always against whatever you're writing!? I'm not! We apparently we have a constant misunderstanding, but this is definitely not my intention.
So please stop seeing only the negative of my posts, ok!?
Btw. no one has exclusivity for writing or for decising who is writing in which topic, and you have to accept all meanings here. You might not agree to them, but that's life.

I only emphasized on the simplest solution, that it takes more time for the download in some cases is perhaps a pity, but not such a serious issue as you're claiming. Honestly, how often are you doing that? Certainly only one time to install everything, and then it is not even worth to mention. You're losing much more of your time with this unnecessary debate, really.

I only mentioned the key thing again so other users who can accept that don't do the mistake of mixing up the installation folders.
So it was a help for others.
That you apparently don't want any real help here is obvious, but it is still not a reason to be so unfriendly all the time.

Besides this, back to topic, I did not say anything against a more intelligent installer, where did you read that?
A intelligent installer could get the location of the already existing setup from the registry, then more details from nadeo.ini, and kindly ask the user if he wants to install in the same or in different folder, etc.

Let's keep your idea as good suggestion for future installers, and forget the rest

Its simple if you picked custom installation when you installed canyon then you'll need to install valley in the same place . Its not going to destroy your canyon installation because all valley content will be put into its own folders not the canyon one's. I agree maniaplanet does need a better way of adding new titles. But I've never had any issues doing it this way

I just want to comment the above and then put this to an end, at least from my side.

Nadeo, as a producer, needs to sell what they produce in order to "have a roof over their head and put food on the table". These forums are, as i see it, the "official" Place for two-way Communication between Nadeo (The producer/reseller) and the users/Community (customers).

As a moderator here you become, again as i see it, a "spokesperson" for Nadeo as you are given the right to Control and govern peoples access and way of communicating here.

This requires caution from Nadeos/moderators side, as effectively, you may loose customers.

I belive that this needs to be remembered. People here "complaining" and beeing "negative are basically dissatisfied customers. Not that this give them the right to be dispolite or rude, but keep in mind that many communicate in their non-native language so a lot of variotion can be lost from how they "normally" express themselves. Regadless of how big or small the problem may seem to you, it is a problem for the user/customer, otherwise they wouldn't have posted it trying to find a solution.

So, end of story from my side.

Are you people have problem with understand what am I talking about? YOU CANNOT UPGRADE YOUR INSTALLATION, because THIS NEW INSTALLER NEEDS SPECIAL DIRECTORY NAMES! So I cannot back in time and change my previous directory names that I set during my first installation.

Example for those who STILL don't understand:
I have that directory:
G:\TM2_data\maniadata
Now, while upgrading, installer said that I MUST HAVE "maniaplanet" word in directory name. I don't know why, but I must. So - how can I upgrade anything if I cannot continue installation because wrong directory name?

I resolve that problem, because I am experienced computer user. BUT - how many people can do that without mess with their installations?

We talk about this installer so long, but Nadeo/Ubi programmers change nothing. I install Storm today and my default directories was changed. Installer don't even check if I have previous games installed. Lame.

Exact. And we can be pretty sure the installer was not improved there either.
Most likely we will get to know of the next updates only very short before their release.
But at the moment, there was no single word about any change or new stuff to be expected.

Update: the update will be after Paris Games Week. Source
